Author not showing on posts under post title.

    Whenever I make a post, The date, number of comments, and the edit button appear under the title of the post. But the author was showing and now isn’t. At the moment I am on the default 2014 theme.

    Is there something I can do to get Author name showing again. Sorry if this is simple but I am new to this.

    Try switching to a different default theme like 2012 and see if the author name appears.

    No joy – it just doesn’t appear with the other information. I’ve tried 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. It doesn’t appear with any of them.

    The only plug in I have installed is Add Link to Facebook but I have tried deactivating that, and still no Author listed.

    I have tried a new post, and again, no author.

    Is there a setting for this?

    Even stranger, when I preview the post it is there, but when I publish the post it isn’t

    Too late – I only installed it tonight, and I have now uninstalled and reinstalled – all working fine now with same plugins and everything. Thanks for the help though.
