• I run a self hosted WP blog and have been using the WP.com stats plugin for quite some time.

I’m aware of a couple of plugins floating around that will extract data from WP.com stats and display this within the blog in widget form or even using tags. The amount of info available through these plugins is fairly limited. No. of visitors and popular posts I think is about it.

I’m now investigating ways to extract additional data from WP.com Stats for display on my blog eg: top referrals, top search terms etc…

Has anyone done this or would anyone know of any doco that might be able to assist with my requirement?

  • I’m thinking of adding these to http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpresscom-stats-helper/ and I’d appreciate suggestions and ideas!

    Hi,

Happy to get involved in any testing. Unfortunately I’m not a coder so cannot help with that.

I would be a happy chappy if additional data stored in WP.com Stats was available via a set of defined tags. I’m not really interested in Widgets.

The three items I’m keen to see included are:

    – top referrer (over 7 days, 30 days etc…)
    – top search term (over 7 days, 30 days etc…)
    – top clicked external link (over 7 days, 30 days etc…)

If the output from the tags could be tailored that would be really nice.

Let me know via this forum if you decide to take on the challenge!!
