I used this plugin’s options to secure .htaccess, wp-config, and file permissions. Could those changes have caused permission problems with my WP admin account?

My main admin account doesn’t have full access anymore. I can log in and do most things but now I can’t access my theme’s Theme Options page or edit plugins, among other things. I get the generic “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

I created a second admin account but it still has the same restrictions as the original.

I don’t know what else I did that might have caused this. I don’t manually modify critical files or file permissions. Is there any possibility that this plugin affected permissions negatively?

Hi bcjhood did you by any chance enabled any of the following features?

WP Security >> Filesystem Security >> PHP File Editing and WP File Access

If you did then uncheck these options.

Oh jeez. Six hours of troubleshooting later and it’s just that simple. I completely passed over those. Thanks it worked!
