    Hi there,

Ran into a very confusing error today.

I was testing out the cart, and I increased the quantity then selected “update cart”, and since then this error comes up on every screen where the plugin is used as well as the entire wp-admin area.

Fatal error: Call to a member function get_price_excluding_tax() on a non-object in /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jigoshop/classes/jigoshop_cart.class.php on line 82

I thought it might be an error with 1.14, as I recently upgraded, but I tried going back to 1.13.3 but the same issue occurs, making the plugin unusable.

I’ve tried clearing my cookies, thinking something might have been set there, but it made no difference.

I can’t change any settings in JigoShop now as this error comes up whenever I turn the plugin on.

At this stage I cannot use Jigoshop at all and fear having to clear my data as we have a lot of products already entered.

Try temporarily switching to a default WordPress theme and then activate Jigoshop. The you can reactivate the desired theme. Does it help?

Sorry I should have added this to my initial post – I tried switching to TwentyFourteen but the same issue occurred.

Can you show us system info?

What kind of system information should I provide? The hosting environment?

It’s on Siteground GoGeek, which is a premium level shared hosting environment.

I can’t turn on any debugging logs for Jigoshop, as well I can’t activate anymore without a causing critical error.

I get the feeling I need to provide login details to your support staff in order to investigate this properly.

Is there an email I can contact?

Can you please again reply to my email to support. This issue was not resolved last time (when the site was in development) and means that customers who update their cart, now experience a fatal error.

Hi, sorry to jump in on an old(ish) post but did this get resolved. I have exactly the same issue but very little help from Jigoshop support.
If you know how this was solved, be very grateful if you could send me some pointers 🙂

I’m having this problem too, but only when users other than the main admin login. I’d love to know a fix for this as well.

    Hi

OK, so the issue I was left with was this.

I got the above error when trying to log in to the admin. I couldn’t activate the plug in as it resulted in the same error.

Clearing my whole browsers history, cookies and all would allow me to see the site again, but as soon as I log in, I get the error again.

So, after numerous attempts to get Jigoshops dev team to help (without a shred of joy), I was forced to look into this more. The only way I have managed to solve my issue (and this only helps to resolve my access) is to edit the database.

I located database entries that were _transient_jigo_usercart_2 (please note that the number “2” here could be any number). I deleted these entries from the database and hey presto I could regain complete access into the admin area.

BUT, this doesn’t fix the issue I still have with updating the Basket and the error reappearing.

I understand that Jigoshop are releasing a patch in 1.16.2 to solve this issue but I have asked when this release might be but received no answer from Jigoshop.

Anyway, I hope this goes some way to help you fix your issue.

OH, and ALWAYS BACKUP BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING 😉

Thank you! This worked for me as well. I will do the update once it’s been and see if this resolves once and for all, and I may shop for a new system.

@digitalcrateds – Just emailed you. I think I found the problem on your site (fingers crossed).

@stopha Are the any JavaScript errors in your browsers console log? Can you post a link to your site?
