Hi… I am not able to get the direct to paypal working when subscribing to a paid subscription. **I am trying out the paid pro plugin.** (This is a wonderful newsletter plug-in… I just am having issues. Maybe it’s a plugin conflict…???)

**If it’s me… I’m not seeing what I failed to do correctly:

    PayPal Configuration

PayPal Email Address **I entered mine***
Your registered PayPal email that will receive the payments.

PayPal Subscriptions On Off *** ran both On and Off – neither work***
Use PayPal Subscriptions for automatic, recurring payments.

    PayPal Sandbox On Off **Off**
The PayPal Sandbox environment is for testing purposes.

    ************************
Paid Subscriptions On Off ***I have ON***
Turn On to allow paid subscriptions.

    Currency
Choose the currency to charge your subscribers in.**I chose USD**.

Redirect Immediately to Payment On Off **I chose ON**
Should the subscriber be redirected immediately to make a payment?

Admin Notification On Order Yes No **I Chose Yes**
Do you want to be notified via email when a paid subscription has been paid for?

Payment Method PayPal 2CheckOut **I chose paypal**
Which payment method should be used for the paid subscriptions?
    *************************
I set up a paid subscriber list.

    ***********
I set up the Paypal… per instructions as far as I can tell.
    ****
I created a subscription form checkbox from that ICON in post edit area with all lists (I created 2 paid subscription lists for test purposes.) **Please see below… I also tried short code.

I tried the two different subscription forms (all lists/or just one paid list — please see below) on both posts and I tried the widget too.

    ******
When entering to subscribe to a paid subscription… no direct to paypal. Just says… thanks for subscribing (like it was not a paid subscription).

    *******
I find it odd that when I used the shortcode for a paid subscription list… the single subscribe box… made no mention of it being a paid subscription. Just looked like a regular unpaid subscription form:

    [newsletters_subscribe list=”3″]

That is the shortcode for one paid subscription list… and it doesn’t put anything on the page about it being a paid subscription (as stated above).

    ????

I really liked the idea of doing the paid plug in… so people could sign up on that subscribe… and I would have their email addresses and a clear point of contact specifically with people who give from my site. (It’s not really selling a subscription… they pledge “$x” a month support… set up the monthly payments… and I have that list and can send out thank you notes auto-respond… I believe… and it’s more for point of contact relationally.)

I went ahead and created a give page on my site with various custom paypal subscribe buttons with diverse monthly giving amounts… so I have that set up now on my site. It’s just it doesn’t keep a running list for me in WP… and I’ll have to organize a list myself (from out of paypal) if I cannot get the newsletter paid subscription working.

I don’t have a lot of donors now… but I expect I will. I just need something in this “interim period” right now… and liked the paid plug in for the sake of trying out the paid subscription option of the newletter for donor tracking. (I want the subscription recurring… I will have people that will want to send me a set amount every month as things progress… I don’t see a donor plug in with that.. and, besides, it’s just nicer to have the donor list right on a newsletter list so I can keep in touch with people.)

**I have to wonder if my theme or a plug in is conflicting with yours. If you don’t see something leap where I did something wrong.. maybe tomorrow I will try to deactivate all other plug-ins…and look to see if I have a plugin conflict. **I’ll check that out… if nothing “leaps at you” that I did wrong on my settings.

    Thank you for your help!!

**I found the plug in that was conflicting…

I deactivated that plug in… and I was taken to the paypal page.

And I found the shortcode command to add that does the checkbox also.

    Yay!

    Got that working.

I’ll test also to see if I can get the newspaper config to work also.

    Thanks!

I’m glad to hear that you found the problem breaking the PayPal integration.

Which plugin was it, if I may ask?
Just in case someone else runs into the same problem.

I look forward to your response.
