Standalone plugin possible?

    I would like to ask the plugin author if it would be (easily) possible to make the plugin standalone.
    I mean for use without BuddyPress for this “Facebook-like” functions:
    Link: rich media and thumbnails are auto-detected. Selection of a thumbnail to display for the link.
    Edit fetched link content to clean up title and description, or to completely customize the content to your liking.

    This is not possible, but I plan to work on a more simplified WordPress plugin soon which allows you to do this in WordPress without BuddyPress.
