Roles with user capilities are able to delete administrator

    Hi

    I am not sure if I am doing something wrong but as soon as I give a new role the capabilities to list and delete users they are able to change the admin users role or delete them completely.

    The new role only has level 6 capabilities.

    I have even tried turning the administrator into a super admin – which made no difference to this outcome.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Using latest WP 4.0.1 and AAM 2.8.4 – all other plugins deactivated and Theme Twenty Fourteen

    I’m having similar problems.

    I need to create a user group that can manage the permissions of all users on the site except the Administrator’s account. I can’t find a way to do that.

    Hey Decafgeek

    A work around for now is download User Role editor – once enabled it will take over this from AAM and everything should work as you want it to.

    Just out of interest User Role Editor is very well supported – I have asked a few questions and all answers receive in 2 -12 hrs
