• Hi,

I would like to check whether this plugin is suitable for my requirements for a particular project. I have a client who has a WordPress website, their business is office rentals. Their website is currently fairly standard, it’s just information pages, news (posts) with a custom post type for Events. They would like to provide the ability for tenants to create and manage their own news articles, events and promotions (which would be a new post type). Obviously tenants should only have the ability to manage their own content. From the front end, this tenant added content will be treated exactly the same as ‘self’ generated news, events etc. Is this possible using this plugin? If not, does anyone have any recommendations?

    Kind regards
    Kevin

    Hi,

    Yes, it should be possible.

If custom post type uses the same capabilities set as built-in ‘post’ does, it is enough to give users the ‘Author’ role. With this role user will work with his own content only.

If custom post type uses its own user capabilities set, e.g. edit_events, you need to add those capabilities to the user’s role, similar to the ‘Author’ role has. If custom post type capabilities are not created automatically, it is possible to create them manually. Use this post as a guide:
