Are you seeing any JavaScript errors, there could be a conflict with another plugin and a JavaScript library.
Hi Greg, (I am getting these all at once).
I’m using the chrome javascript error check extension in my browser bar and am getting this error message:
TypeError: Cannot read property ‘PieRenderer’ of undefined

FYI…in reviewing the other ticket posted on this issue, the contents of my wp/content/uploads/stats folder are:
1. browscap.ini
2. cache.php
3. geolite2-country.mmdb
When I check “Disable the dashboard widgets” the javascript errors are no longer present.
The other thread doesn’t have anything to do with your issue, it look like you have a conflict with another plugin on the jqplot pie chart renderer.
Do you have any other plugins that add dashboard widgets? Try disabling them and see if the page renders correctly.
Hi Greg,
Doesn’t change a thing. I disabled all of my plugins and the issue remains.
This issue was not present in the previous version 8.3.1.
Regards,
Will
There a major change in the dashboard code between 8.3.1 and 8.4 so no surprise that 8.3.1 doesn’t have the problem.
Can you try a different web browser, just to test?
Also, can you go to the dashboard and look at the page source (usually ctl-U in your browser). Look at the bottom of the page and see if there is a “Fatal Error” listed.
Hi Greg,
I removed the plugin (used the remove feature in the settings dash), and then manually removed the stats folder in wp/content/uploads via FTP.
Then reinstalled the plugin and it is working ok now.
BTW…can you answer one question for me? In the exclude settings area….if the Admin box is checked and the excludes are enabled…does this mean that my visits as admin to the site will not be recorded?
Regards
Will
Must have been a corrupt file somewhere.
Yes, if you have excluded the admin role no hits (either front end or back end) by anyone logged in to the site as an admin will be recorded.
