    This also applies to Beta 2 of WP 2.7.

    I sometimes use <br clear="all" /> in a post or page to force a paragraph to start after the bottom of an image in a previous paragraph. I have to insert this tag in HTML view. If I switch back to Visual view, this code is stripped out.

    I think this is a bug. I don’t think WP should change any code that’s entered in HTML view.

    Or is there something verboten about this code that I don’t know about?

    yes, i had this. <br clear=”all” /> gets stripped.

    the solution is to use <br style=”clear:both;”>
    (this is the better XHTML way of doing things. the first way is probably deprecated code.
