RSS Feed Breaks with WordPress SEO

    Very strange, I always use WP SEO, just the best!. A few days ago my RSS feed suddenly stopped http://www.rent-a-student.co.za/feed – I read somewhere it could be an issue with WP SEO, so I disabled the plugin.

    Sure enough the RSS feed started working? yesterday, the RSS feed was down again, so I re-enabled WP SEO and the feed again worked. Last night it was stopped, I disabled WP SEO – feed started and just now, feed was not working disabled WP SEO and now feed ok…????

    Something in the plugin seems to be switching on/off the RSS feed or timing out or something? Any clues anyone??

    Sounds like some other plugin is interfering – could that be? Are you using another plugin for feeds as well? Our plugin only deals with RSS at WordPress SEO > RSS (add something to the feed) – do you have anything in there that might be causing this, like HTML? Or are you just using the variables in there? In that case, I’d say it’s a plugin conflict, to be honest.

    Hi Michiel

    The problem is getting worse. I tried disabling WordPress SEO and RSS worked for 3 days. Then it stopped again. I re-enabled and it started. Now I have is de-activate and activate 4 or 5 times a day to get RSS to work. Could it be my hosting site? Any help appreciated. Happy to give you access if you can try figure this out (we are Not for Profit helping students get work in South Africa). John

    I can have a quick look, just add a user in WordPress with admin rights for michiel @ yoast . com

    Note that if it is a plugin conflict, you probably only will find out which plugin by disabling all and enabling one by one, preferably with a default WordPress theme active…
