    Any chance when you release the new version that fixes the WP 4.0 bug that you could ship minified CSS/JS?

    Specifically:
    comments.css (minified 12743 bytes vs orig of 17952 bytes)
    social.js (minified 9950 bytes vs orig of 14367)

    Numbers based on output from Social 3.0b2. From memory, 3.0 was the same.

    Not a lot I know, but every little bit helps.

    Note: I just used the optimised output that gtmetrix.com gave me and overwrote the original files and it works fine, so no special tools or code required in the plugin itself.

    The much bigger win is setting your web server to gzip those files. It may already be doing so if properly configured.

    Already is. 😉

    Anyway, just thought I’d mention it.

    In the meantime I’ll either just replace them or just override it in my child theme to point to the minified versions.
