    Hi,

I am using version NextGen Version 1.4.15.

I’ve accidentally allowed my WordPress site to update to 4.0.1 and now I am receiving the following message:

“Gallery not found. Please check your settings”

When I am issuing this shortcode to display the gallery:

    [ngg_images gallery_ids=”1″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_thumbnails” class=”ngg-fancybox” rel=”%GALLERY_NAME%”]

This was working previous to the WordPress update.

Is there any obvious reason that the new WordPress update has broken it?

    Many thanks for your time.

    Kind regards

    Trev

  • I’m having troubles too since the (automatic) update to WordPress 4.0.1. All the galleries on my website now are not displayed and instead there is a message “no images were found”.

It wasn’t that update that did it. I have the same issue, and I updated to 4.1 in an attempt to fix it. no go.

You are using very old version of NextGen though – bound to have issues.

I’m using the 2.0.66.29 version of NextGen, which is the last one. And on WordPress 4.0.0 the plugin was working fine, so it’s must be the update.

Edit: i was using the shortcode [nggallery id=”ID”]. Removing the quotes and the gallery is now displayed normally. I hope there is a way to avoid to change all the gallery manually (or editing the database information), I have over 200 galleries on my site

I’m also now having the issue after the update.

phatejoker quick fix to use [nggallery id=ID] works for me for now.

    NextGEN Gallery 2.0.66.29 + WordPress 4.0.1
    [nggallery id=48 image_ids="250"]
    -> no images were found

This problem appeared after upgrading WordPress to ver. 4.0.1

Apologies I mentioned I was using a different version to what I actually am, I have upgraded to Version 2.0.66.29, which caused an error stating an issue with the template.

Using the fix mentioned above I can confirm that it works good removing all quotes from the shortcode.

    All,
If your phocrati album displays are broken, say “no Images” or “the gallery type you selected has not provided a template of it’s own”

    Try the following,
go to your page shortcode, remove the quotes around the parameters, then make sure you flush your browser cache etc.
    SO, example:
    [ngg_images album_ids=”1″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_extended_album”]
    CHANGE IT TO:
    [ngg_images album_ids=1 display_type=photocrati-nextgen_basic_extended_album]
    Hope that helps!
(Mark as resolved if it does)

Yes, it’s works, as I writed before. But I hope there is a way to avoid to change all the galleries manually (or editing the database information), I have over 200 galleries on my site

    Thanks for the hint.
This also happened to me as a result of WP update 4.0.1
Removing all quotes in NextGen shortcodes fixed it for me.
Which, I have to say was a pain in the a** because if you have been using tag_ids with tags which include spaces, all the tags have to be edited to remove spaces.

All – we are aware of the issue that is now happening as a result of the 4.0.1 auto-update, and the development team are working on a solution.

The main thread for this topic is fixed to the top of our forum support page: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/default-gallery-template-error

We appreciate your patience as we work through the issue and come up with a fix.

    Thanks,

All – Thank you for your patience. We’ve completed an update to NextGEN Gallery, which is version 2.0.66.31 – this update contains the fix for the gallery template error caused by the 4.0.1 update, and does not require you adjust your shortcode structure or remove quotes in any way.

The upload is available now, and can be accessed through your Dashboard or via download from the repository: https://wordpress.org/plugins/nextgen-gallery/

    Thanks,.
