Customizing Blog? Help?

    I really want to customize my blog but I’m completely new to all this and not a huge fan of the themes Ive seen so far. I know some html and some flash but I don’t think I could write my own theme..

    I like the simple default blog they put up but I would like to change the header, background, link colors, font, border, side menu etc. I tried doing so last night and this morning it seems to have defaulted back to the original code.

    Can anyone suggest a helpful tutorial or forum? I’d really appreciate any help you can give.

    how do you mean it defaulted back 2 original code?
    where are you hosting your blog, on some hosting service or on wordpress.org?

    if on wordpress.org i’m not sure if they keep your settings or switch to default.

    anyway, for everything you need to change you need to know basic .CSS
    – look in .css file of theme and there you can play with colors, fonts and other things

    I belive this forum can be helpfull. You can also try use Google search.

    If you use Firefox install extension called CSS viewer. It can help you a lot in knowing
    which element of page you are seeing, and its properties.

    If you don’t use Firefox – well – you should use Firefox. Sometimes It’s more than just a web browser.

    And if you have any specific questions like what to change, where to look, just ask. Someone will surely help you.
