only add media folder when there is media in it

    Please allow creation of media folders only when there is something to put in them. It is simple enough to check to see if a folder exists when media is to be uploaded rather than creating an empty folder every month whether any media is uploaded or not.

    The folder only should be created when media is uploaded… I;m missing quite a few months from times I didn’t upload any media.

    Wish it were true for me — three WP sites and all have empty folders for every month, all running latest version of everything:

    I second this thought, and also would add the folders to be visible and explorable inside the media library in dashboard. Or the feature of adding folders inside the library for easy organizing in the admin dashboard.
