Please ignore me – I simply got the settings all wrong. Just remember to enable the “discussion” tick box on the post page so that you can put a tick in the box!
That cost me two hours! 🙁

Hi,
I have configured the discussion settings to allow comments but on the posts and pages I am still unable to see the comments section.
I have cheched the theme settings and all appears ok but still no joy.
