  • I just received this error for the first time, too, for my weekly site backups.

Looking at the DROPBOX tab in my job, all seems OK – Authentication Authenticated!

So I clicked the Delete Dropbox Authentication button and re-authenticated for Full Access (pasted in the new key, and saved changes). Manually running the backup was successful.

The same key would not work on my second job (same site) – giving me the error : DROPBOX: (400) invalid_grant. So I repeated the re-authentication process again, and the second backup worked OK.

Hope this helps anyone with the same problem, and keep up the great work, Daniel and team ! 🙂

I’m having the same issue – the update seems to have broken the Dropbox back up.

    I’m getting the following error:
ERROR: Dropbox API: (401) Access token not found.

But I actually no longer see a way to check or enter my Dropbox details – it’s like it’s disappeared.

    Any help?

    Thanks!

Hi melhopkop. I’d forgotten how to authenticate too, and expected the option to be in the main settings page.

But you actually need to go into each backup job separately, the Dropbox tab, and re-authenticate (as described above) from there.

    Good luck ! 🙂

    Thanks, photoMaldives! That’s worked!

Soory for that, in moment i look for why the token not upgrades automaticly.
Did you have caching Plugins installed ?

Hi Daniel, thanks for getting back to us.

I cannot speak for the other 2 users, but no – I do not use any caching at the WP level (host may do magical things with the server !).

Cachify isent a problem, because it haven’t a object cache.

Mine had also shown authenticated but gave me errors so I had to delete authentication and reauthenticate Dropbox. Then it worked ok. I have W3 Total Cache plugin. I had previously emptied cache but maybe that doesn’t do everything needed.

Thanks for this post, and thanks for the plugin.
