• Hi,

    URL: http://www.begoodtogo.com

The site has a double Google Analytics tracking code on the homepage. One is on line 51 that we want to keep, and it’s coming from the Yoast plugin. But there’s another one line 257 and I can’t seem to be able to find it.

I checked for double plugins and page-home.php and footer.php inside the theme folder, but the php files don’t have the GA code there and I don’t see any other GA plugins either.

The double code is only on the homepage so it makes me think that it’s static and it’s coming from some template file. Do you have any ideas?

    thanks,
    jaan

are you sure similar code is not on more pages?
have you signup up for some sort of google ads or remarketing services?

    Hi contentiskey,

The double code is also on the homepage of the blog, but not on other pages. I can see it from the GA statistics – the bounce rates are normal on other pages. On the site and blog homepage, it’s abnormally low (around 2%) because the code is loading twice.

I think some sort of remarketing is being used, yes – I can see a reference to it from the source

which plugins are installed? (in addition to Yoast SEO)
was the theme custom built? is the theme author available to ask if s/he hardcoded anything into the templates?
