I’ve read the FAQs and searched the help center.
    My URL is: http://www.sphuling.com/

    Hello,
I operate a wordpress based website promoting hindi literature (http://www.sphuling.com/). The issue is how can I optimize my website for English keywords, I have already optimized the meta titles and description (using a very popular WordPress SEO Plugin by Yoast). I have also added Metadata (containing keywords) to all my pages, but still the site is not coming in the search results for any of the keywords. As per my research, what many people on several forums told was optimizing the content with the keywords, but I can’t do that as that would just spoil the look and feel of the writings in hindi. Kindly help in resolving this issue with SEO.

Note: The website is successfully crawled by search engines without any errors.

    Waiting for a resolution.

    Regards,
    Shreyash

If you want to optimize for the English language, the content should be in English. I know, that’s not what you want to hear, but that’s how search engines work.

So you might want to look into providing content for both languages.

Thanks for the reply Matt.. As I told, I have put meta description in english, but putting any content in english would really spoil the look. :/

With all due respect, Google and Bing and other search engines don’t care about “the look” of your website – they’re going to try to serve the most relevant results to searchers based on the search queries. If a user is searching in English, search engines are going to find that English language content will be most relevant (much like if they were searching in Hindi, or another foreign language, the search engines would prioritize results in that language).

If you want to rank highly for English keywords, you need to provide substantial content in English, not just meta descriptions.
