  • Hi, my browser console is showing an “Uncaught exception” error thrown by scripot file wp-content/plugins/disqus-comment-system/media/js/count.js

Can you deactivate the Disqus plugin and try again?

Hi RavanH. Thanks. I just deactivated Disqus and still no luck 🙁 I’ll leave it off for now. Any ideas? Thanks again.

I notice you have the Auto-detection field in the Images section on Settings > Media cleared. The result is that only links with class="fancybox" will be treated as FancyBox links.

So you need to either give each image link that you want opened in FancyBox a class “fancybox” or just put (at least) .jpg back in that autodetect field and then all JPG image links will be detected automatically.

That’s it RavanH. I had read below the ‘apply to all image links’ so thought that included the different image file types. Yup, I’m not the sharpest. Thanks for this and apologies for the simplicity of my mistake. Love the plugin btw 🙂

    Hi RavanH,

I have the same problem here. After upgrading to 4.0 djsamy.fr and installing the easy fancybox plugin. it doesn’t work. I just tried “auto detection” but still not working.

Before upgrading to wordpress 4.0, i was working with “fancybox plugin” and it worked in the “Gallery” at the top header and in my “PIX” menu wich is propulsed by nextgen gallery plugin.

Any help would be cool 🙂

Hi Samy, your issue looks like it’s unrelated to this thread. For example, the plugins script file is not found: http://www.djsamy.fr/wp-content/plugins/easy-fancybox3/fancybox/jquery.fancybox-1.3.6.pack.js (notice that 3 there in the directory path!) does not look like normal. No idea why this would be happening but it’s not the only thing that’s not going right though… You are also including at least two another lightboxes (colorbox and thickbox) and two jQuery versions at the same time. I’m surprised it used to work at all.

    Hi RavanH,

Thank you for your answer and your help. it is ultimately my nextgen gallery plugin that uses 2 jquery (photocrati-lightbox#shutter/shutter.js & photocrati-lightbox#shutter/nextgen_shutter.js ) which create more conflict. I finally solved the problem 😉
    cheers,
    Samy
