Hello. Background: I’m a WordPress newbie and I do NOT know how to code. I’ve created a site for a community media project using the Suffusion theme, having chosen that theme because I can customize it, to a great extent, without any coding knowledge. I installed the plugin Use Any Font so that I can use typefaces that are consistent with our printed publication.

OK, so now I’m using SendPress to create our first “email blast,” and I have formatted the content of this email using two fonts that I uploaded via Use Any Font. My formatting looks wonderful in my composing window, but when I send a test message to myself (via both Gmail and Yahoo addresses) these fonts and their variations (bodface, etc) are lost.

I notice that there are no formatting options visible for creating a template in SendPress, does that mean I’m stuck with their plain text? If so, why do the formatting options appear when I compose the actual email message?

Do I have to use SendPress Pro to keep my formatting? The instructions and documentation from the plugin developer are NOT very clear.

Last thing: in Settings, I’ve selected “send emails via your website.”
Advance thanks for any help provided.

    HI macopolitan,

This is actually do to the fact that email clients like Gmail do not support custom fonts in email. So when they load the email for you to view they ignore any fonts you try to load.

Pro will not help with this situation and unfortunately we currently cannot do anything to fix it. SendPress uses the default WordPress html editor so that is why you see the fonts as options to select.

If it is more then you fonts you believe to be missing you can send a copy of you remail to josh@sendpress.com and i can take a look at it.

    Best,
    Josh
