    No, but you can write a relevanssi_hits_filter filter function that restricts the search to the current page hierarchy.

    OK, I’ll look into that.

    Would that be the same way to go if I wanted to restrict search results based on the logged-in user’s role?

    Yes, relevanssi_hits_filter is a Swiss-army knife filter you can use to do whatever you want to the search results. If there’s no specific filter to use, you can always use that one.
