    By default, when someone signs up, a private link is emailed to them, which they can use to edit their record. No password needed, just the link, which contains a code.

    So if we create the record for them (ie our columnists) we would click the Private ID link, copy the url and send it to them?

    Yes, that’s what you would do.

    But first they would have to be subscribed/members to the site right?

    They have to sign up using the plugin signup form. This is not to be confused with subscribing to the website, that is a different thing, and is handled by WordPress, not the plugin.
