LinkedIn icon not visible in a child theme
-
I have added the LinkedIn profile to my clients site but the icon is not visible. Can you take a look at what might be causing the problem.
Here is the site. http://www.justgoodadvice.ca/
Thanks.

hi terry,
i will test social links on child theme.hi terry,
update the theme to the last version.We are on version 1.35.
do you have a copy of header.php in the child theme?
Yes. Are you telling me that I need to update the header.php because it is not the current version and therefore does not have the latest social icons in it?
I added this code to the header to place a banner in the header.
<?php do_action( ‘before’ ); ?>
<header id=”masthead” class=”site-header clearfix” role=”banner”>
<div class=”site-brand clearfix”>
<img src=”http://justgoodadvice.ca/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/just_good_advice_Banner-832.png”/>
<hgroup>
<h1 class=”site-title”>” title=”<?php echo esc_attr( get_bloginfo( ‘name’, ‘display’ ) ); ?>” rel=”home”><?php bloginfo( ‘name’ ); ?></h1>
<span class=”site-description”><?php bloginfo( ‘description’ ); ?></span>
</hgroup><?php $options = get_option( ‘thebox_theme_options’ ); ?>
That is the only change that I made.I can see now that there are some other changes to the header. Should I just add my banner to the new header? Is there a better way to place the banner so that updates aren’t affected?
Thanks.
hi,
1) to place a banner in the header go to Appearance » Header, upload header image using WordPress Media Uploader or select image which is already uploaded and click on the Publish button. Suggested size is 980 x 340 pixels.
(your banner is 832x273px, too small )2) remove header.php from child theme
3) you have <h1> tag with display none. it’s bad for SEO
remove this:h1.site-title { display: none; }
