    Hi,

all of a sudden my Page/Post lists in the admin view and dashboard are empty.
I was working on page content, tried to switch back to the page list and suddenly it was empty. In the top bar it says that there are 5 pages active, but they are not listed.

I tried switching the theme, turning my plugins off but nothing helped. Enabled logging but the only error is ‘[20-Oct-2014 12:22:27 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function has_post_thumbnail() in D:\home\site\wwwroot\wp-includes\post-template.php on line 434’
which can’t be the source of the problem i think?

Anyone experienced that before? What else can i do? I’m trying for hours now to solve that problem! Sadly its no opportunity for me to set up a new wordpress installation :/

    Thanks for your help!

the page is still in development, as I can’t edit anything anymore –
the content is shown normally but the list is somehow broken…

    heres the
    development link

Hi Saw, i see you a very good developer in ASP, i understand you want the wordpress as your frontend for seo ect. Wise choice, however may i ask what setup you using with IIS? im going to make a radical suggestion here, your IIS server is not meant to manage the wordpress database. If i had to guess, its not you, its the server.

Let me know if this helps troubleshoot. I love your website its great work, well done.

    Hi waynmeyer,

thank you for your fast answer. We’re somehow bound to iis as our complete infrastracture is hosted on windows azure…

Any clue how I can solve that problem?

    Hi Saw45

I kind of figured you had this issue. Ive been through the exact same issue. Im proposing a huge change over, however it will be worth the effort in long run. Once again another radical solution is to move your hosting to amazon cloud. Deploy an instance of windows as well as an instance of bitnami wordpress. This should allow you to use both windows and lamp. I know this is not the answer you wanted, however its the best way possible.

I hope this helps, in the mean time i will think of another solution thats not as hard to follow, i can see you far down the development route, changing servers wont be a nice thing to deal with now.

    Kind regards

Wow, okay thats really hard! Can you explain somehow why this would do its job better than the azure install?

Moving to amazon is no option for us as we’re financially supported by microsoft. So it would be easier to drop wordpress than azure :/

Well its alot easier to have two instances, where as Azure only supports IIS. I fully understand your Benefits of using AZURE, i would highly suggest dropping wordpress and moving to a windows ASP website as your frontend. You will have many problems using wordpress on AZURE.

Another radically solution is to develop the wordpress website locally on your pc, this wont give you problems. Then copy each page html and dependencies by viewing the source of the page, then compile the website as a static website, it will look identical to your wordpress site, the only issue is you wont have a blogging platform which im almost certain you want to use with wordpress. has the only downfall if you have to use static pages. It would however be much easier to rank your frontend website as well as cache it making it super fast loading time. Sometimes you have to lose to win 🙂 Let me know if you have any other questions 🙂

Good luck with the amazing project!!! its going to do great

Thanks a lot for your response!
We just had a dev talk and for the next few weeks we’re going to use a static version -seems sufficient for now and we’ve too much todos that are more important.

Thanks again for your assistance, appreciate it a lot!
