Dang, i’m sorry, I had not noticed that there were support requests for this plugin yet. I know that you probably already either gave up or figured it out, but in case you didn’t:
This would be a ‘multiple choice’ quiz instead of a ‘numeric’ quiz. The “value” of every radio or checkbox answer in your quiz (there are multiple answers in a question) should be either “a” or “b”.
In your confirmation’s conditional logic, there should be an option for “Quiz Result”. This will contain either “a” or “b”.
Hi Dabernathy89
Thanks for a great plugin. I’m really struggling to make this work for mostly a or mostly b.
Is there somewhere a step by step tutorial? Please this is very urgent.
Sorry, I have sort of been on hold with this plugin. I wanted to create some good documentation but it also needs a rewrite and I haven’t had the time.
Can you explain your question in a little more detail?
Currently I have 4 questions. Each with an A, B and C.
http://www.kaperjolle.co.za/2015/02/diva-pliva-of-sliva/
I setup my confirmation:
Use this confirmation if ANY of the following match:
Quiz result is A
In the confirmation message I have
<img src=”http://posters.keepcalmandposters.com/7137056.jpg”
alt=”JY IS ‘N OPPERSTE DIVA!! Poster”>
{quiz:id=1}
{quiz:id=2}
{quiz:id=3}
{quiz:id=4}
{personality_quiz_result}
But the confirmation always shows the default confirmation and not the one I set up, even if I make all my answers A in the quiz.
Do I have to mark a certain answer as correct? Or all answers. I’m really not sure about this.
So it looks like you’re using this alongside the official Gravity Forms Quiz Add-On – they aren’t really compatible. This plugin calculates the winner based on the “value” of the answer choice (currently set to “gquiz1a5322789” by choice A. this is set automatically by the official quiz add-on).
So to get this plugin to work you’d need to turn off the official quiz add-on for that form, and change the “value” of the answer choices to your own value, which you would then use in your confirmation’s conditional logic.
Please could I give you my login details so that you can see what I’m doing wrong?
I think I have time. Do you want to just add me as as user? It’s my WP username at gmail.
Done and thank your for your willingness to help. I really appreciate it.
Ok – so when you use the official Gravity Forms quiz add-on, it gives you a ‘quiz’ field type, which is what your questions are currently. My add-on only uses radio and checkbox fields, though. So all you should need to do is swap out your quiz fields with radio fields.
Thank you mr Dabernathy!!! You are an angel and a superstar!!! It is working 100% now. Thank you so much for taking the time to help. Respect.
