I have purchased the checkout field manager and i was hoping the option was available to allow different checkout fields for certain products rather than it being global.

We have a few items where we require some additional information from the customer but this is not relevant for all of our products.

  • Hello,

Another extension can be used for that: Jigoshop Product Add-Ons (which is free). If you want the fields to be mandatory, you’ll have to use Jigoshop Product Add-Ons Premium. We can refund the Checkout Fields Manager extension, please send a message to support@jigoshop.com.

I have managed to do what i sort of want with the free plugin you mentioned.

The checkout field manager seems very buggy, for some reason it duplicated all the default fields, when removing them saving and refreshing they automatically get added back in.

When hiding them so they don’t display on the checkout page also doesn’t work as it will not allow you to place a order as it keeps stating you need to fill in the fields….

it would be good to get our money back from this plugin purchase.

    Hello,

It’s great to hear that Product Add-Ons met your requirements.

Thanks for the report about Checkout Fields Manager, we will do some additional tests to check the issues you mentioned.

We can refund this extension for you – please contact us via support@jigoshop.com.

The Jigoshop Product Add-Ons Premium was mentioned here.
I would like to buy it, but it lacks one feature my customer is demanding for.

In the cart, you may edit the quantity of the products but you can’t edit the product add-ons eg. a date field (on a booking site).
You need to delete your order and go back to the product page.

Is there any solution for this problem?

    Hi norbnorb,

Without custom development it isn’t possible.
