    We’ve not tested with Photon, but will check on the next big release.

    The cache invalidation issue isn’t something we can do anything about – that’s just how Photon works.

    Oh and thanks for the praise – much appreciated. Sadly though the plugin doesn’t seem to be getting much use, in spite of the early interest, which is quite a shame really.

    Yes, photon works like that and probably appending a suffix like _1, _2, etc. to filenames is the way to go for the moment.

    about the features of this plugin, there’s definitelly some interest for what it does, I’ve contributed on Github on a similar one https://wordpress.org/plugins/manual-image-crop/ that’s good too, but this is better for various reasons.

    what about “automatic image crop” ?!?

    and then, why don’t you propose this as a feature plugin to be integrated on WP core? IMHO this feature should be there natively and this is the best implementation so far.
