I’m sorry – I have to report a new bug in grouped-list mode.
(in both settings: number of days/number of events)

I have set Multiday-Events to show up only on the first day. In all former versions of GCE this first day would stay on the top of the list until the last day of the event. Now it is gone after the first day.
I can set it to display on every day, but that is not an option, because it makes the list very long, with unnecessary repetition of the event.
And there is a second bug to this setting, as it does not show this (already started) multiday event at all, but it shows some (not all) days of this event in the list only as the date (without the event), which makes this setting completely unusable (the event in the calendar is on October 13-24):

    Mittwoch 15. Oktober 2014

    Donnerstag 16. Oktober 2014

    Sonntag 19. Oktober 2014

To give you an idea of what it looks like, i give you the links to my
official Site and my test-site. Both are almost identical.

At the top of the page you can see the actual embedded Google calendar with all events.

Here you have grouped-list-view with multiday-events on every single day enabled:

And here it is set to show multiday-events only on the first day:

This site is now on 2.0.5.1 – still the same problem:

Here it is set to show multiday-events only on the first day in GCE 2.0.5.1:
    http://www.igswhv.de/termine/

And this is what it looks like in the old GCE 0.7.3.1.

That is what it should be!!!

Give me one good reason, why I should not revert my official site to 0.7.3.1!

I apologize that you are having some issues. We definitely understand if you need to revert back until we can get some more of the kinks out. We actually have a post to help with any of that also: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/if-you-need-to-revert-to-0731?replies=5

We understand the frustration and we are working very hard to get all of these things fixed. We definitely can’t do all that without all of the feedback we get. So I thank you for that and I do look into these issues as soon as I can.

I want to bring this up again – maybe a new explanation of the problem helps you find the bug.

This is how it should be:
    In the old GCE 0.7.3.1
when I had a Multiday-Event, the Startday was displayed with the duration of the event underneath until the last day of the event had past.
See here: “Samstag 25. Oktober 2014” is still on top.
    http://wp.mralbers.de/?page_id=2

This is what I get in GCE 2.6.XX :

The first day is no longer displayed and thus the whole Multiday event is lost.:
See here: “Samstag 25. Oktober 2014” is gone.
    http://www.igswhv.de/termine/

If I set GCE to show Multiday-Events on every day, the list shows only the dates of the event once it has started, without any further information.

Thanks for the update to 2.7.0.
I have just installed it. The Muliday-events do now show again, when the Startday has passed, but unfortunately all past days do not show the Date in the head.

    See here: http://www.wpb.moodle-igswhv.de/?page_id=191

it is set to show Multiday-Events on every day in the widget (not the GCE-Widget)

and to show Multiday-Events only on the first day in the page.

A real advantage over the old plugin for me would be, if a Multiday-Event showed today’s Date in the List, with the Startdate and the Enddate in the discriptrion.

    @bernd,

Glad it is working more properly for you now.

I am not sure I quite understand what you mean with the Date. Is it a feature that wish was there or is it a bug?

    Thanks!

    This is the bug:

unfortunately all past days do not show the Date in the head.

    See here: http://www.wpb.moodle-igswhv.de/?page_id=191

And a second bug: as you can see today: The Multiday event has already stopped yesterday, but is still showing in the list!

This is the feature I would like to have:

if a Multiday-Event always showed today’s Date in the List, with the Startdate and the Enddate in the discriptrion.

As the original bug of this topic has been resolved I have created a new topic for the new bugs I mentioned here.
