• So I’m an absolute newbie and in the process of trying to figure out & process a lot of information regarding the transfer of my wordpress site to a new host, I was informed via a website to delete the information in wp folder of Filezilla, thinking that the backup of the database was the only one I needed (epic rookie mistake).
I did so and am lacking the knowledge in figuring out if there is another way to still back my wordpress site up, or has it been deleted entirely? I can still access the site via the WordPress.com site and its completely functional.

  • Don’t worry. If your worpdress files was deleted your database file isn’t deleted. Be sure you can reach out it in the cpanel belonging your site.

Download wordpress files again (wordpress.org) and edit wp-config file according to database info. That’s it.
