    Hi Bill,

I am trying to use your plugin to create an index of all my recipes. For this reason, I want the grid to show only the title and the featured image. Currently, because my posts contain multiple pictures and a lot of text the grid is showing all of this. Can you please explain how I can limit it so only those two things are shown?

Please do help as I couldn’t find how to do this anywhere. My site is http://www.bawibride.com

    Regards,
    Perzen

  • Hi perzen. Looks like you figured this out. Would you mind sharing what the answer was?

    Hi Amanda,

Here’s how you do it. Once you’ve logged in, on the LHS menu go to Genesis – Theme Settings. Scroll down to the Content Archives section. In the select drop down make sure the ‘Display post excerpts’ is selected rather than the Display post content. If you’d like an image in your recipe index then check the ‘Include Featured Image’ box and the relevant size of the image.

You also need to add in a little bit of code to customise the appearance of the index. To do this go to this link by Sara Greenlaw and add in the code in the location indicated.

It should all work fine once both of these are done.

Perzen I cannot thank you enough! I’ve been searching high and low and that did it! Now I just need to search out how to move the title below the image and limit the title characters. 🙂 Thank you again!
