The pagination links on the bottom of my portfolio page don’t work with any permalinks settings except the default. I get a 404 error, page not found.

Is there a fix so that I can use “page name” permalinks? I’ve been using the theme for a while and have already shared links using “page name” before coming across this lil glitch

By the way, this theme is awesome. The best theme I’ve come across, by far.

  • Looks like wordpress is getting confused because it’s conflicting with the single portfolio posts. It thinks that a url after the slug portfolio should be a post not a page. If you changed your permalink for your portfolio page to “my-portfolio” or “projects” I bet it works.

    That did the trick!

Although, I don’t have any other pages with “portfolio” in it’s slug for it to have conflict with. I’m guessing it may have been the new wordpress “portfolio” post type that came with one of the recent updates. It’s not currently enabled but was for a short time.

    Thanks again!

    Hi Guys,
I am experiencing the same issue. Where exactly did you change the permalink of the portfolio page to something like “projects”?
    Thanks

    Hey Jeromias,
In the future please start your own thread and provide a link.
You can change the permalink base in the portfolio edit page right under the page title.
