• I found a similar issue here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/nav-menusphp-is-blank

    But there are some differences – by deactivating all plugins I could (sometimes) get it to come up. Not always. I could activate several and still have it (sometimes) come up. With them all enabled it will never come up.

    Chrome dev tools says net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

    We are using a non-default theme on it, but since it comes up when I disable plugins I find it unlikely that the theme is the culprit here.

    In case it matters, we are using a custom theme built on Thematic.

    Are you using any sort of caching plugin, or do you see a “Clear/Purge Cache” button in your Dashboard or admin bar? If so, would you please try clearing the cache?

    If that doesn’t work, or you aren’t using a cache plugin, try switching to the Twenty Fourteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
