Body of Page Not Updating

I am having a problem updating my home page. I have made text changes to test the home page. The changes are not showing up when I refresh the page after saving them.

I have inserted a line of VVVVVVVV in the header and this is updating as is the footer. But just the main body is not updating.

Here is what I have checked:

I have checked the page in the file manager. The changes have been implemented there when I re-uploaded to the server from my Dreamweaver FTP Client.

I have removed the cache and history

I have done a CtrlF5

I have checked that the template name is correct and it is selected in the default template – all ok there.

I have recently installed Bullet Proof Security – so I deactivated that to check but no change.

Anybody got any suggestions. I will keep trying things in the mean time.
