Remove "read more" excerpt behavior

Hi,
I’ve found other people with the same problem but no solution. Do you know how to get rid of “read more” ajax links from activity? This behavior seems unpredictable with different plugins and themes and I just want to get rid of it and let buddypress activity display the full post, and maybe control the length of post instead.
