Check lang from within functions.php?

    I have extra validation functions in functions.php for Contact Form 7. I’m wondering if there’s a way to check which language is set from within these functions, to display the error message in the correct language?

    Edit: nvm, ppl_current_language works just fine, I just had to move my functions down to the bottom of the file.

    Spoke too soon. It’s not working after all it was just reading my else statement when lang was null.

    Is there some documentation on how to use polylang from within a function in functions.php?
