Use other post type

    Go to the edit panel of the custom post type and see if Smooth Slider post meta box is there. If yes, you can add that post of different post type too to the slider. If you want to have a Smooth Slider from custom post type using custom category, then you can use “Taxonomy Add-on” for the purpose.
