Hostgator Hosting Schedule and .htaccess Bugs

Hello:

3 days ago I changed the hosting for my wordpress blog to Hostgator in a Shared Plan.

From then I have a couple of big troubles not solved yet and I’m becoming crazy.

1. The first of them is that for some reason the file .htaccess becomes corrupted suddenly with no work or changes by my side. And that causes a internal server error (500) until I don’t replace he .htaccess from a backup.

2. The second one is that scheduled post doesn’t work. I schedule a post for a future timestamp and when the publishing time arrives nothing happens (well, the “time counter” of the post starts to add minutes: 1 minute left, 2 minutes left, 3 minutes left and soon). And I’m not able to publish that post until I don’t change the scheluded time to at least 10 hours in the past.

I’m not sure if both problems are related, sometimes when the scheluded time is more than 2 hours ahead the try of publishing crashes the .htaccess but sometimes there is no relation (from my understanding).
