    Hi:

I was wondering whether there is a setting or something that can be adjusted because we find that if we choose to watch the video Fullscreen on a computer – the quality is poor for about the first 17 seconds and then it kicks into HD. Can this be fixed or is this a YouTube issue out of our control? It looks great on an iPad (fullscreen right from the start). Just wondering if there is something in the plugin we can do.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Sorry, my plugin cannot do that.

And going through the list of Youtube parameters that can be added to a normal iframe embed code..
    https://developers.google.com/youtube/player_parameters#Parameters
I don’t think there is a parameter for your requirement.

So it is out of our control.

    Hi:

Thanks for the super quick response. I have tried all sorts of testing, and found that I can’t get around this either. Even pure embed code, from YouTube, has the same thing happen. I assume it is something on their side or between the computer/browser and internet speed causing this.

Thanks again for your input, at least I know this is out of hands on this one.

    🙂

I think this phenomenon is relatively new. My guess is that it allows the video to load quickly and THEN goes high quality. It’s happening everywhere.
