This has been a feature for a while, and it happens when you have a Read More tag inserted into your testimonial content (similar to how a blog post would work.)
It is possible you were on an old enough version that you didn’t have this feature, but that would be from several months ago.
Unless, this is the Optional read more link that is set from the Settings Page? That has existed since day 1, and you would have to place a value there for it to be displayed.

Ok, this feature is needed to be enabled for shortcodes to display read more link when displaying sliders with excerpts of testimonials, so they can link to full testimonials on testimonials page.
This feature should be disabled automatically when displaying all full testimonials on a page using [testimonials] shortcode.
And it was working like that until I updated the plugin couple of days ago. How do I fix it? 🙂
I mean, I can hide it using css ofc, but… that shouldn’t be needed.

Can you show me a link of where this is occurring?
There are 2 types of Read More links available in this plugin, and I’m not clear which you are seeing.
I’m not sure why this would begin occurring for you after the update – I haven’t heard of this happening to anyone else! That doesn’t mean it hasn’t, though, just that I haven’t heard about it.
The recent update added a Shortcode Generator panel to the Settings screen – nothing was changed with regards to the output of anything. Can you let me know what version number you were on before?

Also, I just notices as well that carousel is not adjusting it’s height anymore, to match the longest testimonial.
See down the home page.
So if there are different lengths testimonials excerpts it adjust itself only for the first one it displays, not showing others correctly if they are longer.
Can you copy and paste the shortcode you are using here?
The Read More link you’re seeing only displays if you have a value set in the Testimonials Read More Link field, on your Settings page (that has been there since version 1.) To hide that link, you have to delete the contents of that field.
The Auto Height property has to be set via the shortcode. The property in question is container=1.

And now it does? I agree, that shouldn’t be happening.

Are you asking me to disable linking excerpts of testimonials in a carousel to Testimonials page? I don’t want to do that. I need carousel excerpts to be linking, and full Testimonials on page to not linking.
Again, it was working fine until I updated plugin.
As to carousel I have just noticed now that you have disable what was previously available as to how slides change so it was still trying to use ‘slide’ effect while now it’s set to ‘pro’ version only.
I have now updated the shortcode to this:
[testimonials_cycle count=’10’ orderby=’random’ use_excerpt=’1′ show_thumbs=’1′ transition=’none’ timer=’6000′ container=’1′]
and I must say it acts wierdly now. I don’t like that it doesn’t change slides seamlessly, you can see it bugs a bit between slides.
Also, before whole carousel height was adjusting itself to match the longest testimonial, not doing that anymore, causing ‘page jumping’ effect.
Yes, I meant that page – with all testimonials on it.
Have to go out sort some stuff, will check back again later 😉

Negative – I was misunderstanding you and believe I have identified the source of this issue. That will be patched today.
Nothing has changed with the carousel – also I still see the carousel on your homepage using the scrollHorz transition.
