Link existing media to Attachment.php

I have a website that is pretty image heavy and I currently link all of the media files to the “file”. I’m trying to convert all of these image codes so that they now all link to the attachment.php file, but I’m having some trouble.

I don’t know much about PHP coding, so I was wondering if there is a short code that I could put in my functions.php file that would automatically link all images that are currently linked to the “file” to link to the “attachment” instead.

Is this possible?
