HI. I’ve been trying to change the page title that shows up in the browser tab on the HOME page. (All other pages are correct.) It currently shows up as: UCLA Orthopaedic Hospital Center for Cerebral Palsy.
It SHOULD be: Center for Cerebral Palsy at UCLA.

In header.php it says: <Title>Center for Cerebral Palsy at UCLA</Title>

In the backend next to the little WP logo (upper left corner) it says Center for Cerebral Palsy at UCLA (correctly).

In Settings>General: it’s correct “Center for Cerebral Palsy at UCLA”
In Appearance>Themes>Customize: it’s correct “Center for Cerebral Palsy at UCLA”

I’m out of ideas. Can anyone help?
    The site is:

    Thank you.

Which one? Site title or Tagline?

… try it in the tagline.

    Hi Lyle,
It’s in both, but neither works.

    Hi Patty,

A couple things. I notice in the View Source for the home page that the title is still showing UCLA Orthopaedic Hospital Center for Cerebral Palsy.

I also notice that the site is using WP Super Cache. If you have just recently changed the title and tagline, refresh the WP Super Cache (I am not familiar with it, so you’ll have to dig into that yourself).

Generally, what get’s displayed in the tab (or when you hover over it) is a concatenation of the Title and Tagline.

what are you entries in the SEO plugin?

    Hi Lyle,
I’m a bit confused. When you do a View Source, doesn’t it pull from header.php? Because that does say “Center for….” correctly.

    Regarding WP SuperCache:
I just did the refresh, didn’t work. So I disabled it. Still not correct.

    So….
Alchymyth, I just checked and changed the Title entry in the All-in-one-SEO plugin… and it WORKED!

    YES!!
Thank you both so much for your efforts.
    MUCH appreciated.
    🙂
