    Hello world

    I love the duplicator plugin, it is very simple and gets the job done. Or at least, it did.

    I have a pretty medium sized site (~600MB) and the plugin stops when creating the package. It used to work when the site was smaller (~300MB) but as I got bigger the problems began to pop out.

    The error I get is

    Build Interrupt -The current build has experienced an issue. Please try the process again.
    Details
    Server Status: 200 -OK
    Error Message:

    The log looks like it successfully creates the sql file and starts the compressing job and it stops at the Items archived – flushing response. It stop randomly after 2-3 iterations.

    The site is cpanel hosted, latest wordpress and plugins versions. Some strange thing is that the PHP Max Execution Time is -1 but I don’t know if was set up like this in the past or not, as duplicator worked flawlessly until last week. The hosting company say they didn’t change the software configuration on their servers in the last month.
    The global setting for max execution time is 60 on their servers, but plugins report that in my home directory it is set to -1.

    If I exclude the uploads folder, duplicator works and finishes creating the package.

    It’s pretty clear that the script stops because of the uploads folder (lots of jpg images).
    Is there any way I can fix it or should I look for another hosting provider?
    I’ve tried all the methods in the FAQ and none worked.

  • Hey @funky_buddah,

    If you have PHP set to not timeout then there may be a restriction on Apache. If your host won’t work with you then there are other hosts that don’t kill the Apache process so quickly…

    Checkout this section on the FAQs I believe it may help with this issue:
    -> Browse to: http://lifeinthegrid.com/duplicator-faq
    -> Find section: “3. Troubleshoot=> Timeout Issues”

    Hope that helps!
