  • Hi,
From the info that you shared I’m guessing that this is a host issue, the host might have the php mail function disabled, can you check with them? This doesn’t look like a wordpress issue and not even a plugin issue since you had the issue with all plugins disabled.
Contact your host, try to send a test email from your host using a simple php script see if that works …

    Hello,
thank you very much for your answer.
I logged in to my host admin panel and sent me an e-mail whith the tool ‘PHP mail tester’ to verify what you just posted:

Questa è una e-Mail di test inviata dal servizio Hosting di Aruba.it per la verifica del corretto funzionamento di PHP mail()function . Aruba.it

    The translation would be:
This is an e-mail for testing sent from Aruba.it’s Hosting service to verify the right functioning of PHP mail()function . Aruba.it

@tdo Can you please stop creating duplicate topics for the same problem? It makes it harder for volunteers to support you when you do that. Those duplicates have been deleted.

once a new user has decided the username and the pw, clicking on ‘register’, I’m displaying a blank page.

Do you have access to your web server’s error_log?

When that blank page is displayed then that means your WordPress installation is throwing 500 errors. If your host can provide you with access to your error logs then it may tell you where the problem is.

I tried deactivating all of the plugins, whith no luck.

Try also changing your theme to Twenty Fourteen and deactivate all of your plugins. Then see if you get the blank page via another browser.
