can't login

    do we think i can upgrade to v4.0 though there are login issues there. or reinstall 3.9.2. before starting to mess with things. or try the theme deactivate first. i’ve just backed up the site.

    codex says when in doubt reinstall same version. however we now get ‘error establishing a database connection’

    any next step advice just to get up and going again. thinking a fresh reinstall of 3.9.2 and most recent bkup of database. any other step before we do that ?

    should we start a new ticket ‘error establishing a database connection’ ?

    we got hacked by bots. glad to have backup and reinstalled 3.9.2. then upgraded to 4.0. changed some passwords and looking at other security measures.
