    I’m just setting up a new site using Twenty Fourteen. I’m using a static home page. On that page, under the text, there’s a Leave a Reply form. I don’t want that on the page but can’t figure out how to get rid of it.

    I did the only thing I could think of, that is, under Settings -> Discussion I unchecked “Allow people to post comments on new articles” but that didn’t seem to make a difference.

    If anyone could tell me how to fix this, I’d appreciate it. Thanks.

  • 1. In dashboard, select “Pages->All Pages”

    2. There is “Quick Edit” option under page title.

    3. Un-check “Allow Comment” option.

    That should get you rid of “Leave a Reply” form.

    CMSHelpLive, that sure did the trick. Thanks so much. It really wasn’t a very intuitive place for me to go. It makes sense once you know because it is page specific, but I assumed there was a global setting.

    Anyway, thanks so much for the help. I appreciate it.

    No problem; enjoy WordPress.
