  • Check if you have this option enabled
Settings -> Discussion Settings -> Other comment settings
“Automatically close comments on articles older than days “

If not checked then go to that specific post edit section and find out if the comment is closed in that specific post.

    Regards

Check that your comments are still checked in the Settings > Discussion > Allow people to post comments on new articles

If that appears OK, then maybe Disable any comments plugin you are using and try the default for your theme.

Then, if still not working, disable all plugins and check that it is working then enable them one by one until you find the conflicting plugin.

    Thanks for response!

Unfortunately, it was still not working even after disabling ALL plugins. And I do have comments enabled checked under Settings > Discussion.

Thank you so much, Mr. Rahman, you’ve put your finger on the problem.

I recently checked the setting you refer to, because spammers were attacking my old posts. My current post passed the time limit, and became closed to new comments.

    Resolved, and thanks to all.

You are welcome. Please open a new thread if you need any other assistance. Thread closed.
