I am using this great plugin as a search engine for my site. My site is a database of users who compile their profiles by selecting categories and tags from site provided lists of categories and tags.

I use CRP to allow users to “search” for other users with similar profiles simply by simply opening their own profile page which shows other users as “relevant connections”.

My problem is, if the searcher opens a “relevant connection” by clicking on their thumbnail they are directed to that users profile which shows the “relevant connections” of that user. I need to hide the relevant connections of the target.

I have a feeling that I might be able to do this by using “pages”, “posts” or “custom posts”.

If anyone has an idea how I could implement this I would be very grateful.

Even better would be for a user to do a “search” by clicking a search button which would reference that users profile to produce a list of “relevant connections” outside of any profile.

    Hi,

I’m not 100% sure how you’re using CRP to find similar user profiles. Do you have a working example I can see?

From the way you’ve described it to me, it’s going to be some major bit of coding to establish what you’ve stated above.
