• Hi, I recently updated the site to Radiate from another theme, and started having a problem with WordPress SEO plugin by Yoast: when I’m trying to update meta description and SEO title for an existing page, it is not saving the data but resets it to the previously saved version.

    Their response has been:

“There have been many reports similar to yours and they all turn out to be either conflict with another plugin or the active theme…. We’re seeing a trend by theme developers to using page builders which significantly increase the complexity of the edit page screen and cause conflicts and errors with the built-in TinyMCE functionality in WordPress.”

I know it’s not a plugin conflict – I disabled them all except SEO and it still happens. Plus, it never happened before I changed to Radiate. Therefore, it’s the theme. Could you please look into this?

    Hi,

This theme does not use page builder and actually this theme is derived from _s starter theme http://underscores.me/. So, it has the best coding practices. So, I guess this should not be theme issue. However, we will be looking at this and see if there is any issue. We tried Yoast SEO plugin and this theme in our testing environment and it seems to be working fine.

I don’t know how your test environment looks but Yoast SEO also doesn’t work with the Radiate theme on my site. So, I’ll have to look for an other theme.
