Upgraded to WordPress 4.0 and now "The connection was reset"

    I have just upgraded to WordPress 4.0 and now, when I try to access the site (http://www.expatpaul.eu/), Firefox is telling me: The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

    This appears to be only the case for the home page.

    I can open the dashboard, static pages, individual posts and category pages.

    Does anyone know what is causing this?
